Do you understand the people around you – your employees, friends, famous people, politicians? And what is more important – can you predict their behavior? Humans are complex puzzles. The behavioral science can empower you with an understanding of yourself and others as well. This knowledge helps to gain strong awareness for better interaction with people and building a way more effective communication. In order to win personal or business competitions in the people-complex and relationship-oriented environment, a good understanding of DiSC science that identifies personality types comes in handy.
What is the DiSC?
DiSC test is a powerful tool to analyze the human personality profile quickly, describing people’s dominant and sub-dominant DiSC types. DiSC personality types are identified as D (dominance), I (influence), S (steadiness), and C (conscientiousness). Determining them can easily provide a common understanding to people and use it to adapt their behavior more successfully within a work or other kind of relationship.
We’ve prepared some examples of each personality type in order to demonstrate them to you more vividly.
DONALD TRUMP
A bright example of a D-type personality is Donald Trump, the 45th president of the United States. If Trump wasn’t D, he wouldn’t become such a brilliant businessman in the first place and he wouldn’t be elected as a president. He was programmed to become who he has become from his very birthday when his DiSC type was defined. People with a high D behavioral type are described as dominant, decisive, doer, assertive, competitive, direct, decisive, challenging, pioneering.
WILL SMITH
A vivid example of an I-type personality is Will Smith. He wouldn’t become such a brilliant actor, comedian, producer, rapper, and songwriter if he wasn’t an I-type. He is persuasive, as he believes in every word he says and this belief impacts the people around. He literally infects you with his enthusiasm. His speeches that have turned into numerous videos inspire many people around the world. The I DiSC type is described as influential, inspirational, interactive, interesting. Clearly, Will Smith ticks all the boxes for an I-type.
DAVID BECKHAM
David Beckham, a soccer superstar is an S-type DiSC Personality. To achieve success in such stressful sphere as soccer, one must be as steady and stable as Beckham. Besides this, he is also supportive and sincere. And all these features of his personality make him a clear S-type. He is a UNICEF Goodwill ambassador and has supported many charities. E.G: African Wildlife Foundation, CHOC Children’s, Malaria No More, mothers2mothers, Peace One Day, Red Cross, Save the Children, Save the Elephants, Sport Relief, UNICEF and others.
BILL GATES
Think and analyze, stay conscientious, compliant, and careful – this is the motto of the true C-type and this is what characterizes Bill Gates. Bill is an American business magnate, software developer, investor, and philanthropist, who tends to be objective and direct, who’s in favor of straightforward facts over ambiguous emotions. He has used and realized his full potential in a way of C-type personality. The C-type is the type that made this man the way he is now. And of course, a little bit of hard work and patience 😉
